Day 001: Your Own Pages Posted At My Forward Steps

December 30th, 2009 Post a comment Read comments

Recently I was thinking of new ways to add yet more and more benefits for My Forward Steps Members. I want to include more real benefits for you that will support your own journeys.

I worked out how I can give you access at My Forward Steps for including your own content on its pages. This feature will only be available to Paid Members who have been a Member for one year.

After 12-months of paying Membership, get in contact with me and ask me to add you as a Contributor to the Member site. This feature will enable you to post your own pages within this Member site.

Please note, for those few Members for whom their paid Membership was a complimentary thank you gift from me – I reserve a right to decide at the time of your application whether to extend this benefit to you.

You’ll benefit greatly by gaining leverage for your own site(s) from my continued work behind the scenes.

You will achieve increasing advantage each time I am active in bringing new visitors to the site and increase the number of Members at My Forward Steps. Affiliates will also be at work with raising the number of visitors and Members also. Any links in your own posts to your site(s) will gain benefit from any of that activity.

The pages that Members create will be in a unique category all on their own, this is so that My Forward Steps Members are clear that your pages were created by you, rather than me.

When you create a page, you must have a few paragraphs that will be above the LOG IN link and then you will write your ‘hidden’ content which can then only be accessed by Members.

The ‘More’ tab in the HTML editor for posts, divides the visible content and non-visible content above and below the LOG IN link. You’ll insert a quick-tag called ‘more’ into your post at your desired “cut-off” point.

The quicktags are the little buttons found above the editing window for your post. Those buttons are – ‘bold’, ‘italic’, ‘links’ and others, including the ‘more’ tag. You’ll position your cursor where you want to end the excerpted content of your post, then you’ll click the ‘more’ quick-tag button. It will insert a code at that spot in your text which looks like this:

<!--more-->

You can also just simply copy/paste the code where you want it. In that instance you would leave out the blue colored quotation text box above, and highlight only the word ‘more’ with the arrows, exclamation mark & lines that you see either side. Copy that code and insert it into your page where you want the cut-off for public-view.

Naturally, I will be available for any help you may want. Occasionally I may also ask for minor adjustments to your posts, particularly if I believe that those changes may increase the benefit to you and to other Members.

No need to LOG IN, there’s no further information below.

If you cannot log in then this content is not yet available until a future date in your Membership or perhaps you are not yet a Member.
