You’ve likely heard the expression “Garbage in, garbage out” and that our outer world is a reflection of our inner world. When we want a greater say in the direction that we move our lives and a greater role in creating and designing our own lives, then it is imperative that we manage the source of our actions, which is thought.
Daily actions will ever so gradually, habit by habit, begin to move in the direction of what we think about most and yes, without doubt we will cause the physical manifestation of those thoughts in our life.
If you want to know to what you are committed, just look at “what is so” in your life. What exists in your life is in direct correlation with where your thoughts have been. What are your thoughts, the words that you say to yourself which conjure up your emotions, feelings, mental images, yet also fears or doubts?
One of my favorite quotes, that you’ll have seen me post at various and numerous places, is this one from Mahatma Gandhi…
“Carefully watch your thoughts, for they become your words. Manage and watch your words, for they will become your actions. Consider and judge your actions, for they have become your habits. Acknowledge and watch your habits, for they shall become your values. Understand and embrace your values, for they become your destiny.”
Our mind is a thought-generating machine that can be managed and trained. We are the ones who must be personally responsible in taking on that challenge, moment by moment.
This is why I love to provide all of us with material which supports us with generating positive emotions, presenting us with thoughts and ideas that open up new possibilities.
Those who work in advertising and mainstream media are masters at their craft. Not only do they create some amazing entertainment, they are also able to use their medium to imprint certain messages in our minds and without most of us being aware of it.
That programming can be used for positive effects as well. Choose the quality of information that flows through your thoughts and choose the programming you want for your mind. Remember, thoughts really do become things.
