After your log in at My Forward Steps you’ll see a copy of the Tao Te Ching by Lao Tzu and which was translated by James Legge. I publish it here it under the terms of the Project Gutenberg License included at www.gutenberg.org
Personally, I find it the least attractive of the available translations. There are many more that I found which are more poetic and had a little more ‘soul’, if you like.
I am posting this version here, along with audios that I found at Librivox.
This version of Tao Te Ching will be a place holder for some work I want to do related to the book and other versions as well as videos and audios.
I have designed a new blog so that I can expand on the many thoughts that the Book of Tao and Teh brings to life. You can preview that blog at www.taotechinglaotzu.com
When you return here at a future date, you should find a video that I put together, some interpretations of the writings by me and other versions for you to explore, as well as a few surprise creatives that I plan around the themes presented in Lao Tzu’s writings.
With regard spelling, I believe that any of the following are acceptable… dao, tao, de, teh, te, Lao Zi, Lao Tzu, Lao Tze, Dao De Jing, Tao Teh Ching, Tao Te King.
