DETAILS:

Share a personal story or personal experience that will help and make a difference to another’s business growth or personal life journey. Ideal story length is 400-600 words.

Each story should carry a lesson that is truly a generous gift of shared knowledge and experience, for anyone who reads it. The intended audience are people who are interested in self-improvement and personal development topics, and those who are choosing to build their own business (online, or off), with a slant towards internet based business.

The story needs to be original, include a practical “take-away”, and be written by you. As best as is possible, make your story informative and share your own unique expertise. You could have tips, strategies, techniques, case-studies, analysis, opinions or commentary.

Record your full name, web site URL and any other details, exactly as you would like them to appear in the book or websites. Use the “message to me” box for special details. Your name and linked website URL will be on the book's web page as well as being placed inside the book at the end of your piece, listed as a credit.

Also, please send a 250x250px JPG/PNG format photo of yourself, plus a photo for your bonus gift (if you are adding one). In the photo of you, please feature your face!

You can contribute twice, one story for each book. Ideally, all contributions should be sent to me before March 2011. I will do my best to accommodate & include every story.

The affiliate question is there so you to add your own affiliate program URL, if you have a personal product for which site visitors (and myself) could be an affiliate (this is optional).

When entering the text of your story, you do not need to use any special type set or font. I will sort that out, at my end. You'll notice that when you click to send the story, a confirmation message will display, and it appears that your formatting is lost. No need to worry, your story is received at my end just fine, with paragraphs etc. intact.

I will not be making any editing changes to your contribution unless I notice a spelling or grammar error. I'll let you know if I need to do that. You'll also be sent a proof copy of the book(s) before publication, so that you get the final opportunity to OK everything.

Many books that you can purchase online, offer a page of bonus gifts along with the purchase of the product. I intend to create such a list of added bonus gifts for each book.

If you are contributing twice, one for each book - then you may include a different bonus gift or the same bonus gift, for me to add to each book. It is optional whether you choose to add a bonus gift. A benefit to you is - your gifts (with your links & info) might be ’virally’ distributed to friends of book buyers plus, if you send them to a special download page then you can include an opt-in form for visitors to add their names to your own mailing list.

If you are a Member at www.myforwardsteps.com I will create a few unique ways in which you get yet more special benefits, with regard exposure for your story and URL.

You will not be asked to participate in any email campaigns, and you will not be asked to participate in any promotion campaigns unless you personally choose it.
I will provide tools for you to do that, however it is entirely up to you. You can choose to be an affiliate for both books, then just go off and “do your own thing”!
