A quote can be an affirmation of a particular belief we hold, it can occasionally provide just the right perspective on a problem we want to solve, it could remind us of something that we had learned in my past and forgotten, a quote can also bring us just the right message we need to hear in a certain moment.
The more familiar quotes can also give us an insight into how much we have grown. When we see them again after particular experiences or after years, we might extract new information and perspectives from them that we didn’t quite see when we last read that quote. I love that many of the people from whom these quotes originate, have ways of saying what we may think or know, in a much better way than we would have expressed it.
I select these quotes based on how personally true they feel to me after 50 years of living, and after my own personal growth experiences during participation in self expansion and personal development programs. In a nutshell, they are selected from a foundation of my own values and beliefs, as I see things from where I stand today.
Likely, you will have chosen a range of very different quotes. I am also certain that I have left out many quotes which might have better expressed particular truths about our human experience. Series 1 begins with a few of the ones that are quite familiar to us all. There are other series collections on the way at My Forward Steps!
Future quotations in this series will be posted at other pages rather than adding more quotes to this post. Each page will express powerful messages of self growth or positive motivational encouragement, however I don’t want to overload our minds with too much to contemplate. I’ll keep it down to a collection of close to 30 empowering or teaching messages, in each series.
Here’s an example of how the Series 1 List Of Inspiring Quotes are presented once you LOG IN…
1. View On Life
“The way you talk about yourself and your life – your story – has a great deal to do with what shows up in your day-to-day experience. Your thoughts create filters through which you view your life. If you think of yourself as a victim, you filter all that happens to you through the lens of DDT (Dreaded Drama Triangle), and you find plenty of evidence to support that viewpoint. That’s why the orientation you adopt is so important: it exerts a powerful influence on your life direction.” David Emerald
