“You know that in any moment, a decision you make can change the course of your life forever …the very next movie you see or book you read or page you turn could be the one single thing that causes the floodgates to open, and all of the things that you’ve been waiting for to fall into place.” -Anthony Robbins
Every time I read a new book or revisit a past-read book in my library, it always triggers a new idea, without fail. When I feel that I’m running low on inspiration or ideas, I always go to my bookshelf and pick up a book to take out in the garden and read. It helps every, single time!
At this page I’ll be listing some quick life lessons from a collection of books that I believe are worth your time to read. Some of the books I’ll list here are free to you and others can be bought at very low cost e.g. via Amazon’s used book area.
We have all heard the expression “Leaders Are Readers”, yet not all readers are leaders. The difference is taking the information and building an action around it. Once you read something that sparks your imagination, to have it stick, you need to take a follow up action so that it becomes a part of your life and habits. Our experience of life is changed habit by habit and books are an easy, immediate access to new patterns of thought, for helping us to create a change in behavior.
I’ll be returning here with one section of text or a quote that I gleaned from a collection of books. Wherever I have a link to the book’s free copy for you, I’ll include that. You will have access to a few of these already at the PDF Collection in this Membership site. Some of the links below will be books that are not free, if you want your own copy. The books will be listed in a random order, not in order of best or most highly recommended.
Remember, you become what you think about! Make reading part of your daily habit and carve out 30 minutes each day to read. You will be amazed at how it will effect your life in the long run.
I have begun with books that are free ebooks in pdf format online and will be adding paragraphs selected from other sources soon, too (like my book selection at the Forward Steps Amazon store and my own bookshelf in my office). 🙂
